Exciting season past and now Dave is in his laborotory concocting fabulous new meals for next season

After three years away it's good to be back. I have never gone 'back' to anything in my life but missed the buzz of restaurant life. There is nothing more fulfilling than a sea of happy faces listening to great live music and my wonderful staff having fun together. I couldn't have done it without them. And they are coming back! Dean my right hand man in the kitchen (we let him out occasionally), Sharon the day chef institution, Ana who people say makes better coffee than the boss (of course I don't believe them), Wombat who has made dishwashing into a fine art, Debbie (Joy to the World) who came as a wwoofer and is coming back to live (blush) and work, Becs our front of house supremo and all the other summer staff and wwoofers that make the place so colourful. Are they eccentric when they come here or do we make them eggsentric??

  Closed from 1st May to 30th September (but happy to do dinner parties of 10 or more). Otherwise open 9am till late for breakfast, lunch and dinner, closed Mondays and open 7 days in January

Dates to remember are:

Friday 1st June Irish Nite with those crazy DescendNZ. Come and bop those winter blues away! Morrocan lamb shanks and some sort of dessert (OK I don't know yet!) and the music for $40
